Grilled Chicken Breasts with a Creamy Garlic Sauce
Grilled chicken with creamy garlic sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines the flavor of juicy grilled chicken with the richness of a creamy garlic sauce. It's a perfect choice for a quick weeknight dinner or a summer barbecue!
Make the garlic sauce first for best flavor. Mix the mayo, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper in a small prep bowl. Place in fridge if making ahead of time and remove from fridge when the chicken goes on the grill.
½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup Greek yogurt, 2 cloves garlic, 1 Tablespoon lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Mix together the oil, parsley, oregano, paprika, garlic, salt, pepper and onion powder. Coat the chicken breasts with the oil/seasoning mix, allow to sit while heating the grill.
4 chicken breasts, 2 Tablespoons olive oil, ½ teaspoon parsley, ½ teaspoon oregano, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Turn the grill on and heat over medium high heat (about 400℉.)
Place the chicken on the hot grill with direct heat. Close the lid and cook for about 6-7 minutes each side, until the internal temperature reaches 165℉.
Remove the chicken breasts from the grill and allow to rest about 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve with the garlic sauce poured over top or as a dipping sauce (we prefer as a dipping sauce.)
Notes
Nutritional values are estimated. The garlic sauce is best if it is made ahead of time, at least an hour ahead up to 1 day ahead. But you can make it before coating the chicken if you are in a hurry. If you made it ahead of time, you can bring it out of the fridge right before adding the chicken to the grill. This allows it to start to come up to room temperature before serving.Chicken breasts are different sizes so yours may take a little longer or less time. If your chicken pieces are all different thicknesses, pound them down to an even thickness so they cook the same.
