Apple Cake With Salted Caramel

Dry ingredients to mix together – 2½ cups flour - 335 grams – ⅓ cup oats  – 2 teaspoons cinnamon  – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1 teaspoon salt

Remaining ingredients 8 Tablespoons butter 1 cup plain yogurt ¾ cup sugar  ¾ cup brown sugar packed 2 Tablespoons molasses 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 eggs large 2½ cups apples ½ cup salted caramel syrup

Melt butter and cook it at a simmer for 3 minutes.  Set aside to cool at least 5 minutes

Mix together flour, salt, baking soda, oats and cinnamon in a bowl.  Set aside

Cream butter, yogurt, brown sugar and sugar in a mixing bowl with a mixer.

Add in molasses and vanilla extract and mix with a mixer  until combined

Add in the eggs and mix with mixer until combined - 30 seconds to 1 minute

Pour dry ingredients in and whisk until incorporated, do not overmix.

Batter will be thick and small lumps are ok.

Gently fold in the apple chunks with a spatula

Spoon the batter evenly into a bundt pan and bake about 40-50 minutes

Allow cake to cool in pan completely before removing from pan.

Top with salted caramel syrup and enjoy!
