Butter - salted recommended
Cinnamon

Wash and cut the squash
Wash the squash and cut it in half. It is tough to cut and if you are struggling I added a collage in the post to show you how to cut it.

Remove seeds and poke holes
After cutting in half, use a spoon to remove the seeds. Use a fork to poke holes into the skin side of the squash.

Prep for baking
Place both halves of the sweet dumpling squash skin down in a baking dish. Add enough water so there is about 1 inch of water in dish.

Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the inside of each of the halves.
Sprinkle seasoning on top.
Cover dish with foil.

Bake at 400 degrees covered with foil for 20 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 10-20 minutes until the flesh is fork tender.
