Easy and Delicious Taco Pie
3 cups corn chips ½ cup salsa 2 pounds ground beef taco seasoning ½ cup water 4 ounces green chilis 2 cups shredded cheese CILANTRO SOUR CREAM optional can use plain ¾ cup sour cream 1 Tablespoon lime juice 12 cilantro leaves fresh ¼ teaspoon salt
Cilantro lime sour cream - optional can use plain sour cream
Chop and crush the cilantro leaves.
Mix cilantro, salt, sour cream and lime juice in bowl and set aside.
Crush the corn chips and mix in a bowl with the salsa. Stir well to coat the corn chips. Pack into the bottom of the dish.
Brown the ground beef and drain.
Stir in water, chilis and taco seasoning.
Cook for about 3 minutes stirring often.
Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese over crust.
Top with the beef mix.
Spread the sour cream mix over the beef.
Top with remaining cheese.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 25-30 minutes. The cheese will be perfectly melted on top.
Allow to rest for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
Top with your favorite taco toppings.
