Foil Pack Loaded Potatoes on the Grill
All the flavors of a loaded baked potato!
2½ pounds potatoes 2 Tablespoons olive oil 6 Tablespoons butter 1½ cups cheese 6 Tablespoons bacon pieces 2 garlic cloves minced 1 Tablespoon dried chives salt and pepper to taste ½ cup sour cream
Wash and slice the potatoes to about a quarter inch thick.
Soak in cold water for about 15 minutes (recommended but optional.)
Prepare 3 pieces of foil by coating each one generously with oil or cooking spray.
Layer about a sixth of the potato slices on each piece of foil.
Layer the toppings :
1 Tablespoon butter
2 Tablespoons cheese
1 Tablespoon bacon pieces
Couple pinches of garlic and chives
Couple dashes salt and pepper.
Repeat layers once and close foil packs tightly.
Place on a grill heated to 375-400 degrees with 1 burner on low.
Cook on the low burner for about 30 minutes, until fork tender.
Top with sour cream after cooking. Your loaded potatoes on the grill are ready to serve!
There will be hot steam escaping from the foil pack when you open it, open it carefully.
