The Best Grilled Pork Chops

Made with a simple homemade dry rub

Ingredients

6 pork chops (adjust as needed) Dry Rub 1 teaspoon dried minced onion 1 teaspoon dried parsley 1 teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon dried rosemary ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon pepper

Prep

Mix dry rub ingredients together and rub all over the pork chops.   Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes while grill is heating.

The Grill

Preheat the grill to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  Once heated, place the pork chops on the grill and close the lid.

Cooking

Cook with the lid closed for about: 5 minutes for 3/4 inch thick  or 7 minutes if an inch thick. *Cook times are estimated and may vary.

Flip and Cook

Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes depending on thickness. Check temperature, they should be around 145 degrees when they come off.   At 145, they will be perfectly juicy.

Thermometer

Cook times may vary always check temperature with a thermometer. Grills vary and different thickness of pork chops will be a different time. Pork should be at least 145 degrees to be safe.

Rest and Serve

Allow to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.  This is an important step to having juicy, tender and flavorful pork chops!
