Easy Slow Cooker Cheesesteaks

London broil 3 Tablespoons oil 1 onion 1 green pepper 4 cups beef broth ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon salt  ¼ teaspoon red pepper 6 hoagie rolls 12 slices cheese

Sear and Slice

Sauté both sides of the steak in oil for about 1 minute per side. Slice steak into thin slices.

Slice onions and peppers into quarters.  Then slice the quarters into slices giving you 2-3 inch long slices.

Add the cut steak slices, onion, pepper, broth and seasonings to the slow cooker.  Be sure the meat is covered in broth.

Stir well and cover.  Cook on low for at least 6 hours, 7-8 hours is best.  The steak will be tender when done.

Put Together

Use a slotted spoon to spoon out the steak/veggie mixture onto rolls. Top each sandwich with 2 slices of cheese.

Broil - Optional

If you want a slightly crispy roll with the perfectly melted cheese, broil the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes.

As a Note

There will be a lot of liquid leftover.  The meat needs to be covered while cooking to prevent it from drying out.   Save the liquid to make pasta or rice - it is delicious!
