This sweet coleslaw recipe is easy to make and always a favorite at gatherings!

Perfect for cookouts and holidays!


– 3 pounds cabbage – ½ green bell pepper – 1 carrot – 1½ cups mayo – 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar – 4 Tablespoons sugar – ½ teaspoon celery seeds

The Dressing

Mix together the mayo, red wine vinegar, sugar and celery seed in a prep bowl.  Set aside.

The Vegetables

Cut the cabbage in quarters and remove the core.  Cut cabbage, pepper, and carrot into large chunks.


Add the carrot to the food processor and add as much cabbage as you can safely fit without overloading. Pulse until the cabbage and carrot is chopped evenly. Pour into a large bowl.


Add pepper to the food processor along with as much cabbage as you can safely fit. Pulse until they are chopped evenly. Pour in bowl with the carrot/cabbage mix.


Mix the cabbage, pepper and carrot mixture together with a spoon or spatula until it is completely mixed together.

Add Dressing

Pour dressing over the cabbage mixture and stir well. For best flavor, refrigerate at least 30 minutes to an hour (longer is ok.)


Dressing mixes with moisture from cabbage to create an amazing flavor!  Stir well before serving.
