What You Need
80% or 85% ground beef
Dried minced onion
Take about 1/3 of a pound of beef and shape into a round and thick patty.
Slightly push down on the inside to make an indent in the middle.
Sprinkle the dry rub over the burgers.
Heat the grill to 450-500 degrees.
Place burgers onto the grill and close the lid.
Do not press the burgers down.
Cook for the same time each side - time is estimated, check temperature.
Rare - 3 minutes
Medium rare - 4 minutes
Medium - 5 minutes
Medium well - 6 minutes
Well done - 7 minutes.
Always check the temperature, times can vary.
Rare - 120
Medium rare - 130
Medium - 140
Medium well - 150
Well done - 160
*USDA recommends cooking to 160 degrees
Once they reach temperature, flip one last time and add the cheese to the top.
Close the lid and cook for about 1 minute - long enough for the cheese to fully melt.
Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
